Parking and travelling

Cardiff International Airport provides road and rail services, with a wide range of bus routes operating throughout the day as well as a new train line connecting the airport to the city centre and southwestern Wales.

Rail : u sing the new rail link is the best way to reach the city. Trains run every hour to the city centre, from where plenty of connections to the rest of the UK are available. There is also an hourly train going to Bridgend in the other direction (west), from where you have easy access to southwest Wales.

Bus : there are no less than seven bus services operating between Cardiff International Airport and the city centre throughout the week in addition to dedicated services on weekends. The Air Shuttle Bus links directly to the Central Bus and Railway stations in central Cardiff. Regular shuttles depart from outside the main terminal.

Car : the M5 motorway south and the M4 west from London often get congested, usually during the morning and early evening rush hours. When driving to Cardiff International Airport at these times, allow extra time for the journey.

Parking : there are short-stay and long-stay parking facilities as well as business and disabled persons’ parking lots. Closed-circuit TV is in operation 24 hours at the airport. The short-stay car park is the nearest to the airport terminal and spaces are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The long-stay car park provides a free shuttle bus during the summer months.
