Parking and travelling
Several railway stations are located in the vicinity of East Midlands Airport and shuttle buses provide regular services. A range of bus services offer connections to several UK cities and taxis are available from the Taxi Office outside the Arrivals area 24 hours.
Rail : the railway stations of Nottingham, Loughborough, Derby and Long Eaton provide rail services to UK destinations on the Intercity network. There is also a Midland Mainline free phone booking centre located opposite the Information Desk in the main terminal building.
Bus : regular c oach services operate between East Midlands Airport and Bradford, Leeds, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Warwick, Coventry and Heathrow and Gatwick international airports. There are also bus services to Derby, Nottingham and Leicester, departing from outside the main Arrivals area.
Car : getting to the airport by car is easy, as it is located near the north-south M1 motorway. From Nottingham, the A52 west will lead you to the M1 southbound; exit at Junction 24 from where signs will direct you to the airport. From Leicester, the A6 heads north to Junction 24 of the M1; signs will direct you to the airport from here. From Derby, take the A50 southbound to Junction 24 of the M1.
Parking : the airport provides ample parking facilities, with spaces available for 4,000 cars. The short-term car park is located outside the main terminal building and the long-term car parks provide free shuttle buses to the terminal.
