Parking and travelling
Liverpool John Lennon International Airport can be reached via a range of means including bus, rail, taxi and hire car. Located near major motorways, the airport allows visitors to easily reach other parts of the country. Regular trains provide speedy services to London from Liverpool’s Lime Street Station, which can easily be accessed from the airport.
Rail : there is no train station directly at the airport, so travellers must use nearby Hunts Cross or Garston stations, from where buses provide connections to the airport. Trains to Liverpool Central, which connects with Hunts Cross, can be caught from a choice of destinations outside of Liverpool.
Bus: Arriva Bus Company runs the main bus service connecting the centre of Liverpool with the airport, while Joblink and Supertravel offer connections from a number of destinations farther afield. A shuttle service is also available, connecting the airport with Hunts Cross and Garston train stations.
Car : the airport is located just seven miles from the centre of Liverpool, with the M56 motorway providing the most convenient access. Follow the M6 southbound to Junction 21A, from where you can join the M62. Continue on the M62 until exiting at Junction 6 onto the A5300, which leads to the A561. Follow the signs for the airport, which is located off Speke Hall avenue.
Parking : t here are three large car parks conveniently located next to the terminal building. Both short-term and long-term parking options are available in addition to plentiful disabled persons’ parking zones.
